SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY HOUSING
- Adaptability: residents would be able
to personalise the front facades and
make extensions within their plot, so the
house can keep up with family needs
- Roof terrace to the rear
- Shared party walls decrease heat loss
- Staggered terrace means windows
can face all directions, increasing amount
and quality of daylight/sunlight
- High thermal mass to dampen changes
in temperature
- Private courtyard, to increase daylight
into the deep plan
- Balcony to the front
- Green wall for food production and
solar shading in summer
- Smart meters to track energy use |
